NFL Playoff Picks

With the end of the regular season upon us, its time to turn our attention on the most exciting and addicting time of the year. Let's take a look at how the playoffs are going to play out.

Will the Boys be able to focus and come together after a reeling loss to the Lions in the final week?

What will Peyton do if Eli goes further than him in the playoffs, and do we dare think of the horror to come if lil' Eli takes the prize?

Reginald Bush and Drew Brees will be leading America's team on what looks to be a long journey.

The pupil vs. professor battle, between the Teenaged Coach and The Master, will probably come down to the men at the helm, Brady and The Chad.

This still leaves the best of the best; LDT and Baltimore. Without futher adieu, let's get to the picks.

First Round Picks

AFC

Bye Teams: SD SuperChargers, Baltimore Bullock Crest

KC "YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME" Chiefs @ Indy "Manning" Colts
Winner - Colts 30-24

Game Note: This is the classic battle of two teams who are not shy when it comes to scoring. Where some may view this match-up as favouring the Chiefs due to their impressive running game led by All-Pro Larry Johnson, let's remind ourselves who they'll be going up against. I don't see the Colts bowing out this early unless its on a frosty day at Gillette Stadium.

Jersey "ManChild" B @ NE Clam chowders
Winner - Jersey B 22-19

Game Note: The once teenaged coach, Eric Mangini of the NYJ already stole one from his mentor earlier in the season. I am positive that Belichick will be more focused than ever to take back his pride, and show the world that Mangini doesn't actually have his entire play book photocopied and sitting in the locker of each Jet's player. What will happen though, is Mangini forcing the Pats to play to their weaknesses by jamming the middle, attacking the line of scrimmage and forcing Brady to make plays to his hapless recieving core. This should be a great game that will come down the the final minutes.

NFC

Bye Teams: Chicag Bears, The American Saints

Tiki Barber @ Philly "Playboy Garcia" Eagles
Winner - Tiki Barber 34-29

Game Note: Although there is much doubt surrounding the G-Men, which has followed them throughout their rollercoaster year, the chance to play a division rival for the third time is salivating. With Tiki Barbers career in limbo, Eli Manning being written off and Tom Coughlin blaming everyone but himself, I still see the Giants to come up with their best team effort of the season when it matters most. Sorry Philly fans, the wait will have to continue, I wonder if this pleases Mama McNabb...

America Loves Romo @ Seattle Seahawks
Winner - Seahawks 26-17

Game Note: Tony Romo has shown us why the NFL should hold their All-Pro balloting until ALL the games in the season are played, not after 14 weeks. Romo has been average at best in his last three starts, with his poorest showing in the final week against a team who was 2-13 at the time. Seattle will need to find that spark to rejuvenate an offense that is amongst the best in the league when they're on, and it will need to come from a steady mixture of Alexander and Hasselback. Where the game will be won however, is on defense. Seattle will need to put pressure on Romo to get him out of the pocket, and if this happens, the Dallas receivers and their self-hyped dominance will be lost during the improv.

Divisional Finals

AFC

Jersey B vs. SuperChargers
Winner - SD 35-10

Game Note: In the second week of the playoffs we get the pleasure of watching the best back in the league rip an inferior opponent. This contest will not be much of a show unless you're a Chargers fan. As for the Jets, it's been a very good season with much to build upon for the coming year, Mangini has done a great job and looks to be the front runner for COY.

Colts @ The Black Hole
Winner - Ravens 27-21

Game Note: This will be one of the best games of the playoffs. Unfortunately for Peyton and his boys, it will be their last. Heading into Baltimore is never an easy task, and after the bye week, Bullock will have his men completely prepared for the Colts offense. With a steady stream of LB and DB attacking at all angles; expect the Ravens D to take this game away.

NFC

Jersey A @ Chicag Bears
Winner - Jersey A 22-16

Game Note: Riding the high from just beating your most hated division rival, quieting your demons, and finding solace in the locker room, they Giants will come out and once again put on a great performance. This will be highlighted by the fact that Grossman can't pass the ball, and as long as the G-Men can hold strong on special team's defense, they should be fine. The chorus of boos that rained down from the stands in the Bears final home game will seem like whispers to Sexy Rexy during the final minutes of this one.

Seattle @ The American Saints
Winner - Saints 34-21

Game note: USA, and the rest of the football world for that matter, will be rooting for the Saints to move on. Thankfully, the Saints are posed in the pocket with their fearless leader Drew Brees. The Saints will show why they were one of the most consistent teams throughout the regular season and handily take this contest.

Conference Finals

Bullocks Crest @ SuperChargers
Winner - SD 21-17

Game note: With both teams entering on highs, we'll be treated to quite the contest. The Chargers strong all around attack will be the difference in this game, as the Ravens just won't be able to keep up. LDT will keep the Ravens D on their toes and always alert, while young QB Phillip Rivers will take a giant leap in his development and advance to the biggest game of his life.

Jersey A @ The American Saints
Winner - NO 32-20

Game note: The miracle run by the G-Men will unfortunately come to an end against the Saints. Reggie Bush will cause fits for the Giants defense and we will see a second coming of what has hampered the Giants success all year, deflecting the blame. After Eli Manning gets off to a shaky start, Coughlin will overreact, alienate the already fragile Manning and watch their season slip away.

Super Bowl XLI - in Miami, FL

The American Saints @ SD SuperChargers

Winner - SD 27-24

Game note: Just sit back and enjoy the show, this is going to be one hell of a game.

MVP - LDT (I know, obvious...but this guy is good)

- JW
